I’m pursuing a degree in Industrial Design at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Design, with a minor in Human-Computer Interaction. My foundation in design traces back to my dad’s toolbox—permission to take things apart just to understand how they worked. That early curiosity evolved into something larger: a commitment to bringing small moments of magic into everyday life. Growing up across the United States, China, and Germany taught me that objects speak differently to different people, and that designing with love means listening first.
Roles:
Student Chapter Liaison, Executive Board, IDSA Student Chapter at CMU
Industrial Design Intern, Metabo (Germany)- collaborating across cultures and time zones
Industrial Design Intern, MH3D Inc.- developed device housings prioritizing cleanability while bridging engineering and leadership priorities
Toolkit:
CAD + Software proficiency: SolidWorks, Rhino, CATIA, KeyShot, Blender, Adobe Suite
Strong sketching, rapid prototyping, and fabrication capabilities
Multilingual: English, Mandarin (fluent); German, Spanish (working proficiency)
Beyond the studio, I stay curious through cooking unfamiliar cuisines, reading science fiction and cookbooks, and cheering loudly for the Wolverines and Lions. Sundays are reserved for Shonen Jump. My favorite color has always been orange.
